Rare goût grec faux marbre pedestal 003

Very rare goût grec faux marbre and parcel gilt triangular pedestal. The stop fluted tapering upright is well painted to simulate bleu turquin marble. The pedestal is decorated at the corners with gilded lion heads holding rings in their mouths connected by gilded floral swags. Original paint and gilding. (A round area on the top, probably where a sculpture was placed, is lacking the bleu turquin paint.)
