Louis XV jewel cabinet by BVRB
 

Louis XV jewel cabinet by BVRB, the initials of Bernard van Risenburgh.  The bois de bout marquetry of kingwood on bois satiné ground with amaranth framing depicts flowers and leafage. The front, in the form of an abattant, opens to reveal six small drawers; the top lifts and reveals a well and a mirror. There is a small pull-out slide on each side. The base, in the form of a table with handles, is provided with a drawer in front. The cabinet will be included in the catalogue raisonné  of the work of BVRB being prepared by M. Yannick Bapt.

Signed faintly in ink on the drawer bottom: BVRB and surrounded by four JME marks.
